the Power Kickers, and we were a very good team for the three seasons I played with them. In third grade I stopped playing recreational soccer and I moved on to play club soccer because my parents thought there would be better coaching, more competition, and in general it would give me more opportunity to develop myself as a player. The club team that I went to play for was Willamette United Soccer Club, or WUSC. Since this was club soccer, I had to tryout, but nonetheless, I’m pretty sure everyone was offered a spot since it was just third grade soccer. Even though I made my age group team,

ReplyDeleteDear Goat Girl,
ReplyDeleteThe piece had a lot about how you went through your soccer career so far. There is a lot of detail about your career and it explains why you like soccer so much. It made me wonder what i want to do as a soccer player going forward. After a lot of thought it brought up the question, what do you want to do as a player going forward in life?
Sincerely,
Soccer is Life
Bravo GoatGirl,
ReplyDeleteI loved the way you approached this topic in your blog. I really thought it was cool how you adjusted to being a center defender even though you really wanted to be a midfielder. This is an amazing post, a story of persistence. After reading you post, I was wondering If you could give a person one tip on how to get to where you want to be, what would it be?

Hi GoatGirl,
ReplyDeleteYour persistence in soccer is very inspiring. When reading your post, you really made it clear that soccer is one of your passions and that you want it to be a big part of your life. Great job! Do you find that your talent in soccer gives you strengths in other sports? What other sports do you like?

Dear Goat Girl,
ReplyDeletethank you for the great blog, i enjoyed all the photos and when in the blog you were stating all the ups and downs of soccer when you love it so much. What sport would you play if not soccer, and what do you see your self doing with soccer as a skill in the future?

ReplyDeleteHi Goat Girl,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you started from the beginning of your soccer life, since that showed how you evolved. I also like how you include photos of you playing soccer throughout the blog. The way how you described soccer, and what it takes to be where you are, really makes me understand how you are passionate about it! Do you have any sport ro-models currently?

(your picture of you as a soccer tot is really adorable!) :)
Got Girl,
ReplyDeleteYour blog post was very detailed and had me drawn into your story from the the beginning all the way to the last word. I don't play soccer and I never have. It sounds like a lot of fun and I bet you are an amazing soccer player.
What got you into soccer? or more like What made your parents put you into soccer rather than another sport?
