Video Games

My older sister interested me in video games when I was little. I started playing with Game Boy Advanced, and when the D.S. came out I got that. I played Pokemon(Pocket Monsters) with my friends and my sister.

I later bought an Ipod and was giving a laptop. When Minecraft came out I installed Pocket Edition on my Ipod. First the free version and then on my birthday one year I bought the Full version of pocket edition. My friends and I played on worlds together. We eventually tried the computer version of Minecraft. It was very different at first and we hated it, because there were more blocks and items and we had to craft stuff, and we couldn’t figure out the controls. We eventually became familiar with it and each bought users, and played together on multiplayer servers.

Minecraft is fun because you can do whatever you want to do. There are different game modes and difficulties. You can play in creative-mode, where you can use any block in the game and just build. In survival-mode, you collect resources, build a shelter, farm and collect food. Then there is hardcore-mode, where the monsters are very strong, and if you die your world gets deleted, but otherwise hardcore-mode is just like survival-mode.

People have created multiplayer mini game for minecraft like hunger/survival games, which is literally based on the movie Hunger Games, and Skyblock, which basically you start off on a platform in the middle of space with some supplies that you have to farm to survive.

Minecraft is also always being worked on, new versions come out every few months. Minecraft is purposely really easy to “mod”. People can make modifications to the game so that they can have fun and then they can put it on the internet for other people to download. My favorite mod right now is the Pixelmon mod, which is Pokemon in Minecraft!

I love minecraft. Its just so fun and creative and easy to learn how to play. I play or watch youtube videos of people playing minecraft in my free time. Sometimes when i am doing a homework assignment that I don't like I will procrastinate and play Minecraft or watch a youtube video of Minecraft.
