Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen

For my blog post I will be writing about the declaration of rights of man. This was written by a man named Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert (Zhill-bear) du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette. The declaration of rights of man is not to be confused with the declaration of independents, they are very similar because the rights of man was based off the declaration of independents.
James Sharples:Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert Motier 1757-1834 Marquis de LafayetteThe writer Lafayette went to join george washington's army when he was 19. After a while he became very close friends with george and they became almost father and son. While in the States he grew very fond of the declaration of independents and decided to make his own with the help of his friend Jefferson. They worked long evenings secretly to make the Independence of Rights of Man.

When it was finished Lafayette first called it The “First European Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizens,” On July 7th, 1787, Lafayette proposed his "Declaration of the Rights of Man," and it got approved on August 26th to be the “Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizens."

  1. Wilson, great choice for your topic! I though it was great how you showed the relationship between the Declaration of Independence and the Declaration of the Rights of Man. You included some fantastic factual information about Lafayette as well. In the future, try for more detail on the main ideas. Great job with this post!

  7. Hello Wilson,
I appreciated that in your post you said how Lafayette and George Washington had worked together, which made this post much more relatable. I also like that you said that it was modeled after our declaration of independence. I think that your post, however, could have benefited from a little bit more information, like the contents of the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen, or maybe even who approved it.

  8. HEY WILSON -_-

over all this piece had pretty good information. I think this piece could have been longer however to really portray what the declaration of independence is about. You also could have included more of ¥our opinions about it to make it more personal and meaningful. Good job sir

  11. Wilson,
I like all of your photos, and how you explained the relationship between the Declaration of Rights of Man and the Declaration of Independence. I wish you had more information on what exactly the Declaration of Rights of Man said, and you also might want to work on capitalization. Thank you for this post.

  14. Wilson,
I thought your post was great. I did see some capitalization, grammar, and word choice errors. It was a bit short, you could have given a bit more detail about the people. The pictures were great illustrations. Overall, great.

  15. good job Wilson, I think that you should have included more details and fixed the grammar issues but I really liked your topics, pictures, and I think it was an interesting blog. I think if you fixed a few things this would be an even better blog but overall it was a very strong blog.

  18. Wilson,
I liked how you chose a topic that most people would not think of. You had good information. Why did you choose this topic for your post? You had good facts, and photos (although I wish you could have un-stretched the photo). I agree with others that if you read it over one more time, it would have been smother. What do you think about the topic?

  19. WILSON,
I THOUGHT IT WAS COOL HOW YOU COMPARED LOTS OF STUFF. YOU HAD LOTS OF GOOD MAIN IDEAS, BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE INTO MORE DETAIL ABOUT THEM. YOU ALSO HAD SOME WORD ERRORS. BUT I LIKE IT BECAUSE YOU HAVE A VERY USIQUE TOPIC. GOOD JOB!
