As an Athlete, I think that sports can definently change lives. Participating in a sport can help you health wise along with confidence wise if you play/do that sport non-competitively or competitively. Sports help people loose weight build self-confidence. These are some aspects I think are relatively important in life. Whenever I swim in a high level race, I always think to myself,
If I win this race right now, I am one step closer to the Olympics. Just the thought of being one step closer to the Olympics boosts my self-confidence. Having self-confidence in life could lead you taking big business risks that could poentially change your life, or with helping you find a job. There are plenty of things that sports can do for you. And with side effects from sports they could make your life and you as a person more healthy, happy, and bright.

-Da_Thunda_god_

ReplyDeleteI liked how you talked about how you say when you swim that you are "one step closer to the Olympics if you win." I know I myself have sayings like that. One question I have for you is; Why do you continue to swim?
Sincerely,
Purplesealsonpluto
Dear Purplesealsonpluto,
DeleteThe reason I continue to swim is A: I've been already been swimming for so long it would be a waste to quit, and B: I've already made a name for my self in Oregon swimming by winning several championship events, and set several records.

Dear Da_Thunda_god,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading through this blog post. It really made me think about the affects of me playing on a soccer team at a national level. I thought that this blog questioned and agreed with all sports at a competetive level, and I really appreciate that. What do you think your life would be like without swimming?
Thanks,
JalapeõCheesePuffs
I think that my life would be very bland without swimming. Because swimming for ~5 1/2 years has really changed my life in ways that any other activities wouldn't be able to do.
