LOVE TO READ!!!!!!!

I love to read its fun and takes you places when you want to leave reality. When I was in Lower School I read a new book every day. Soon finished every book I thought that interested me in the Lower School Library and I moved on to the Middle School Library.
When I moved on to Middle School I did not have as much time and I could not find any books that interested me like books used to read. I just did not have time to look for books my schedule was too full with sports, school and homework. This upset me a lot, but homework comes first and I knew that if I started a book and got really into it I would never get to my homework. So in Sixth Grade I did not have a favorite book because everything I read did not interest me.
This year I thought a head during the summer I made a list of books I wanted to read which I am still using now. This does not help with the time and schedule problem, but it helped me love to read again, Also I found a book series I really enjoyed  The Ghost Bird series by C.L Stone. I realized as I grow up I won't have the same time to do stuff I want and should take advantage of every moment I have.

P.S. This is a website I use to find books http://www.goodreads.com/

  1. Technology is your friend, my wee blogging friend! I, too, love to read. I, too, have insufficient time to curl up with a good book. I listen to books on my iPhone and iPod! When I'm working out, when I'm driving, when I'm folding laundry, when I'm preparing food...Listening doesn't work for all books - complex tomes or books in which you need to keep flipping back and forth to remember who is who are not good candidates - but it certainly solves a good chunk of our problem!! As an introduction, may I suggest "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou? You will fall in love.

  2. Have you ever tried making a schedule for yourself to organize your time and ensure you have time to read? I sometimes have to block out time during my day to make sure I workout. I find that I have much higher success of working out if I do this, vs just telling myself I want to go for a run. I hope you are able to read some books you love this year!

  3. Hi Hot pink ninja,

I used to read a lot when I was a little. Ever since I became a middle schooler and when teachers gave us books we have to read I lost interest since we are supposed to read other books I usually find my self doing other things than reading as a free time. What is your favorite book?

    1. Hi Advay,
My favorite book this year is friends vs. family! Thank you for asking. What is your favorite book?

  4. Dear Hot pink ninja,

I really like how you start your story from lower school and then to middle school. I find it super amazing that you could finish a book everyday. When did you start liking reading? Did you ever try writing because you enjoyed reading? Do you still read a lot now?

  5. Dear Hot pink ninja,
I liked how you really went deep into your passion for reading, and how you talked about how it was harder to read because you had less time. I was wondering, do you enjoy reading as much as you did in lower school?

  8. Samma-
I loved this post! I can totally relate to out reading the library, I was the first to learn how to read when I was 4 and I read every single book that our classroom had to offer. also I can relate to not having time for reading anymore. What strategies do you have to make sure you get your reading time?

  9. Hi Samma,
I also like to read, although I share your problem of not really having the time. It's really cool that you told your readers a favorite book and left a link at the end for people to find books at! I also like your idea of making a list of books that look interesting during the year and then reading them all in the summer. Don't you think that sometimes the school homework should be to just find a good book and read?
