Battle of Bunker Hill


Battle of Bunker Hill

The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775, mostly on and around Breed's Hill, during the Siege of Boston early in the American Revolutionary War.

The war all started when the Americans found out about a British plan and decided to beat the English to the Charleston peninsula. On June 16, 1775, Colonel Israel Putnam and Colonel Samuel Prescott led the Patriots to the Charleston Peninsula. Their mission was to settle in at Bunker Hill on a small peninsula on the Charles River north of Boston. For some reason, they ended up on Breed's Hill closer to the waterfront.

In June 17, 1775, the British were surprised to see the American soldiers controlling Breed's Hill. Immediately, they began to attack from the sea. Then, later in the day, General William Howe led his men to attack on the ground.

Colonel Putnam told the American army, "Don't fire until you can see the whites of their eyes." (Fun Fact this quote was again used by General Andrew Jackson in the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812.) The British attacked twice but they were bombarded with heavy artillery and had to retreat. On the third attack, the British were more successful. The Americans were all out of gunpowder and could only fight them by hitting them with their muskets. The Americans finally retreated. The British took Breed's Hill and then captured Bunker Hill. Fortunately this battle took heavy tools on the British The Americans had 226 soldiers killed during the battle and another 828 were wounded. The 145 American Patriots died and 274 were wounded with 30 captured.

Child Labor

Child Labor was started in the 1800s when the Industrial Revolution took place. It was the work of children as young as 4 years old, working in factories around dangerous machines every day. It deprived the children of their natural childhood, and were working as much as 64 hours a week, for an extremely low pay. In the early 1900s, thousands of boys were working around extreme heat in a glass making factory. They would work without a break from this heat for hours, causing them to have eye trouble, lung ailments, heat exhaustion, cuts, and burns. As time went on, in the early 1900s children as young as 3 were being employed in these dangerous factory's, and a high number were working as prostitutes. Children were rolling cigarettes, worked in coal mines, and rotted away in canaries. By the 1900s, there were at least 1.7 million children doing child labor.
Child labor was terrible. I love kids, and to hear of them being hurt in any way breaks my heart. The fact that people didn't realize how dangerous this was back then also hurts, because it's like they didn't care what happened to the poor children, they just care about the factory and dangerous machines that the children worked around. Today,  in developing countries child labor still lives. Poverty forces people to send their children to work to more money for the family. Today, the types of work children do are usually agriculture. Farming, dairy, fisheries and forestry may be slightly less dangerous, but the fact that the children working there may be as young as 5, child labor is still a problem in our world today.

Charles Darwin and Evolution


Charles Darwin, a 22 year old naturalist, stepped aboard the HMS Beagle and changed the world. They circumnavigated, which means travelling all the way around the globe. The Beagle visited many places that astounded Darwin including Tierra del Fuego, the Galapagos, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, and others. It’s really interesting for me to learn about because his voyage through the Pacific included pieces of my own sailboat trip, a three year exploration of the Pacific Ocean with my family. For me and Darwin alike, the Galapagos is very special.
As a young child, Charles loved to tell crazy stories and cause mischief. Above all, he had a passion for learning about nature. The young Darwin collected flora and fauna near his home in England with his friends. He kept notebooks filled with his observations and questions. He and his brother prepared a chemistry lab in the family garden. He was curious at a young age and this quality allowed Darwin to succeed in understanding evolution.
FitzRoy, the captain of the Beagle, requested suggestions for a naturalist to come aboard. Through friends of friends, much persuasion, because his dad wouldn’t let him leave on such a “pointless adventure”, letters, and delays in departure, Charles Darwin and the rest of the crew set sail on the Beagle on December 27th, 1831, on a drizzling, cold day. The boat crossed the Atlantic and entered Chile. Captain Fitzroy had taken a few native Fuegan children from Tierra del Fuego several years ago on a different voyage. They had learned Christianity and the “civilized” English way. On this voyage, FitzRoy decided to return them to their home in the hopes they would teach their fellow “savages” to be civilized. It failed miserably, and the children quickly went back to their old ways. Darwin thought about this a lot. Did they simply not contain the brain capacity to stay the same? After returning home, this event became key for Darwin to figure out the nature of evolution.
After sailing under Cape Horn, the Beagle hugged the west side of South America then, after reaching the north part of South America, headed due west off into the Pacific. A five week stop for provisioning brought them to The Galapagos. But this proved to be a much more important step for Darwin.

The Galapagos is a magical place. My experience of these islands was incredible. Slicing through the nutrient rich, deep blue expanse for a week before the first shadows appear, waiting on the bright white thread of the horizon, there is nothing more beautiful than this colorful, lively archipelago. Soon, the native birds fly to the ship, like customs officers coming to make sure everything is safe on board. The queenly albatross with her long, graceful six foot wings skims the water. An Arctic tern, with it’s unusual, whiplike tail comes to rest atop the mast. Closer to land, the low red, lime green, and brilliant blue footed boobie birds cloud the skies in dense masses. At the slightest twitch of a school of fish below, the entire group dive bombs and massacres the prey. The hideous Frigate dances in and out of the masses, stealing food from other birds and swallowing helpless chicks hidden under the rocks or left unprotected. The male Frigate has an inflatable red pouch used to attract mates. Sand sharks, lemon sharks, hammerheads, tigers, whale sharks, black tips, white tips, and reef sharks prowl the edges of the reefs.

The Galapagos gets stranger still. The second smallest species of penguin dwell on the crusted volcanic rocks and in the shallows. The Galapagos Penguin is the only penguin to live north of the equator. Marine and land iguanas rule the sands and rocks. 
The marine iguana is a unique creature. It’s spiny face and salt crusted head let it blend perfectly with the volcanic stones. It swims and holds its breath for several minutes underwater while eating algae. It's differently adapted cousin, the land iguana, eats cactus, grabbing it in its mouth and using long, delicate fingers to grasp the cactus leaf.

Giant tortoises are the most famous of the Galapagos animals. They are graceful, loving creatures. Feet like elephants and a snake-like head, these animals interested me. A long time ago, many of the tortoises were captured and eaten on boats, such as The Beagle. Sometimes the helpless animals were taken to mainland Ecuador and sold for their meat. One particular tortoise I saw in Bahia de Caraquez, a small town on Ecuador’s coast, caught my attention. He had been taken a hundred years ago from the Galapagos and sold to a man in a kayak. The tortoise escaped and wandered into the marketplace in Bahia. He got sick from eating scraps then someone brought him home and cared for him. Now he lives at a school in Bahia. He’s too old to be taken back to the Galapagos. Many tortoises weren’t as lucky. Unfortunately, most tortoises taken on ships were butchered and eaten after sitting in the hull of a boat for weeks.
Playing, sleeping, lounging, or barking sea lions cover every piece of these islands. Despite the surprising amount of people currently living in the Galapagos, sea lions cover the park benches, docks, playgrounds, and walkways, oblivious to humans. On catamarans, which are two hulled boats, I’ve seen Galapagos sea lions climb up the slippery swim ladder in the back and flop their way into the cockpit. One time, this happened in the middle of the night to my friends’ boat. My friends, seven and nine year olds at the time, slept outside in the cockpit and woke up to find a sea lion curled up between them, underneath a table. They screamed. A lot. Their dad woke up and chased the sea lion off the boat, fortunately for them. It made for a funny story afterwards, though.
Darwin’s Galapagos lacked any forms of civilization, unlike now. Sadly, a whopping 25,000 people occupy these formerly untouched beauties. Fortunately, though, people are only allowed to go to or live on three of the islands. I suppose this is an issue for another post. So, back to Darwin.
In the Galapagos, Darwin collected plants and animals to study when he got home. As always, he kept notebooks. Darwin talked to a whaling captain called Larson. They discussed biology and geology for a long time. Captain Larson commented that he could tell what island a tortoise came from by the shape of its shell. At the time, Charles thought nothing of it because he was still of the opinion that, like his friends in England thought, every species had a small leeway of change with well defined limits. After returning to his home, Charles reconsidered the remark. He decides it must mean that the tortoises are each reacting to a slightly different environment.

I’ve seen all these animals and the experience has gotten me interested in biology. That is why I chose Darwin to study, because I know I didn’t completely understand evolution while I was there.
Nowhere else is there such a mind blowing display of the real way of nature. The beauty, the violence, and the passion to survive at all costs stand out in these wild islands.
Upon the Beagle’s return, Darwin settled down with his first cousin, Emma Darwin, and began formulating his theory. He considered the ideas which his peer naturalists in England held so firmly. They thought that an individual species had a preset limit to how much it could change. Charles was very much a freethinker, so he began to have his doubts about this. When Darwin asked why there had to be a limit, they lectured him or told him this was not true.
Darwin was always asking questions and trying to find truth. Writing his book, On the Origin of Species, let him explore and organize his notebooks which let him find the truth. First, he thought about transmutation. How much can a species change? Why wouldn’t it stay the same? In England, this situation had been observed. A species of white moth lived in a birch (a white tree) forest. When the forest burnt, and the trees became black and charred, the white moths disappeared. Instead, black moths “appeared”. These types of examples were thought about by Darwin. He and some other naturalists of that day agreed that a species could become altered by its environment. Darwin’s thoughts differed from the other naturalists of his day, about how much a species could change. Most naturalists thought that God had made every species and allowed them a small amount of room to react to their environment. Charles thought that a species could change unlimitedly, but change would only occur if it will help the animal survive.

After decades of thought and writing, Darwin concluded that species could change as much as is needed for them to survive. Factors causing evolution were big geological changes and sometimes man-made interferences. If the moths in the burnt forest only survived if they were black so they can blend in which hides them from predators, then owls would eat all the white moths. Say the forest grew back. A small genetic variation in the moths that were born white would allow more of them to survive. The white ones would be the ones to reproduce, so most baby moths would be born with the variation that makes their wings white. Any black moths would be eaten because they are too visible to predators.
Charles Darwin once said, “Nothing is easier than to admit in words the truth of the universal struggle for life, or more difficult--at least I have found it so--than constantly to bear this conclusion in mind.” Three of his ten children died young. This hit Darwin very hard and made him question his theory. If his survival of the fittest theory was true, those three children had been too weak. This troubled Charles quite a bit, and slowly he became ill from all the stress. Charles Darwin died on April 19th, 1882.
Charles Darwin was an incredibly influential figure. With his book, On the Origin of Species, Darwin changed how people viewed the Church, animals, and themselves. He offered a complex but believable explanation about life. Darwin did not want to force people to believe in his way, he was simply giving an explanation and asking people to look at his idea and then decide what they want to think. Although there are still people who see life another way, which is perfectly fine, Darwin’s theory eventually became widely accepted. Whether or not you see it Darwin’s way is up to you, but try learning about it and then decide what you want to believe.

No sports OR education!



Right now all my life is basically just sports and school. If I am not at school I am at the gym working on my serves for volleyball or my dribbling for basketball. I am a lucky girl who has the privilege to be able to even be on a sports team, before the 19th century I would still be trying to get an education.
The 19th century was where most of the privileges for women began, and that is not including sports. Of course the women had their little games and stuff but that was not the main focus it was trying to get a good education and supporting themselves and their family.
Ohio was the first state in the USA to let women get education. If I was living before that time I do not know what I would be doing or how feel. I have no other thing in my life besides those three things, volleyball, basketball and School. I think that I would be probably working to help get some money for my family.
I am very thankful that I am so privileged to be getting an education, and such a good one.

Sports were always around, for men. There was the Olympics held in ancient Greece in 776 B.C., women, of course, were excluded to this event, so they started their own games of Hera to honor the Greek goddesses who ruled over the women and the Earth. About four hundred years later Kyniska, a Spartan princess, won the  Olympic chariot race, but is barred from collecting her prize in person. If that were me I would personally be very angry for not being able to receive an award in person just because I am a women.

Tchaikovsky and The Nutcracker

Every year in December, thousands of dancers put on costumes and take their places backstage for the top of the one of the most legendary ballets of all time. This is the show they have been preparing for since September, the Nutcracker.

The Nutcracker is the story of a girl named Clara, who at her family’s annual Christmas party gets a Nutcracker. That night, at midnight, she is attacked by rats and their rat king, but her Nutcracker and her brother Fritz’s toy soldiers come and defeat the rats. She is then transported through a land of dancing snowflakes to the Land of Sweets where the Sugar Plum Fairy and her attendants dance for her and the Nutcracker. Pytor Ilych Tchaikovsky, a famous composer, wrote the score these dancers dance to.  Born May 7, 1840 in Votkinsk, Russia, he grew up with four brothers, a sister, and a half sister. He composed many symphonies, operas,  concertos, ballets, and chamber music pieces in his time. His famous ballets besides the Nutcracker include Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. He died in St. Petersburg in November 6, 1893. He was the first Russian composer to be internationally known.

Tchaikovsky’s music was so popular at the time because of it’s emotion. He composed pieces that were happy, and you wouldn’t forget. He made people feel what was going on onstage, helping to move the scene along. The emotion is what makes us want to see his ballets like The Nutcracker over and over again, giving us that holiday cheer every time.

There are many different versions of the Nutcracker, the original being Marius Petipa’s and the most common now being George Balanchine's. With these varying choreographies there are many different names of parts with different ages dancing the roles. George Balanchine’s version has the little angels, the party children, the soldiers, Marie, the Nutcracker, the polichinelles, the candy canes, and the girl chinese soloists, and the maids as students, with the company dancers dancing the parts of snow, flowers, party parents, rats, spanish, arabian, marzipan, dewdrop, leads, and sugar plum fairy and her cavalier.

In September, while the rest of the world is enjoying the remains of summer, many ballet dancers are already listening to the well-known music of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, learning choreography, getting selected for roles. The Nutcracker auditions usually occur in late August to early September, with choreography starting anytime from September for students to November for professionals. The life of a ballet dancer is a busy one, most dancers 6th grade and up dance at least 6 hours per week, if not more. As the Nutcracker draws nearer, the hours of rehearsal increase, accumulating at Dress Rehearsal which can be 8 to 12 hours. Costumes arrive from October to November, their beauty showing the seamstress’s love for the show.

While many may guess that backstage is quiet, and everyone is waiting in the wings to come on, anyone who has been there knows that this is not the case. Crazy quick changes, stressed directors, and dancers going every direction to get where they need to be is a very normal backstage. That’s not counting the broken costume or missing pointe shoe that usually takes place. The dressing rooms is where most dancers spend the bulk of their time backstage. There is usually one large dressing room per part or two parts for the dancers in the school, and one small dressing room for one or two dancers per room for company. Here is where dancers stay when not onstage or close to going on. People play card games, watch movies, play on iphones and ipads, warm up, stretch, goof off and choreograph dances.

I have been in The Nutcracker seven times and they have all been amazing. I have so many memories that I won’t share now, I have laughed, cried, nearly puked, been nervous, fallen flat on my face, gotten in trouble, but above all, had some of the most fun I ever had.

The Nutcracker is an annual Christmas tradition for many, whether backstage, onstage, or in the audience. It has warmed many hearts in its time, Tchaikovsky's music aiding this. For me, it is truly the most wonderful time of the year, and my many performances of it I will always keep near me. It is beyond doubt, a wonderful show.

Stained Glass





The Steps  in creating a stained glass piece follows a few instructions but then
its up to you and your creativity.  However, in order to you need the right tools and materials, after collecting these you will find creating a beautiful stained glass is quite easy. You can buy a kit of these materials at almost any art stores/blick. The materials consist of *


Glass Cutter- Used to glass into pieces you choose. Comes in big and small. The process in cutting the glass is called scoring. You always want to draw a line with sharpe on where you want to score.( sharpe will come off in the 
furnace.

Pliers-  The hand tools used to ply apart the glass pieces after cutting.
Glass- Comes in many different mediums. For example the glass nuggets/globes are simple little ovals/circles already made, used to create texture and dimension for a wonderful stained glass art. You also have your plane glass sheet you place/glue your glass pieces on(one side is wavy one side is flat, you place the glass pieces onto the wavy side in order to have a better cohesion between both glasses.) Also Keep in mind the glass will never be the same color as before you put it in the furnace. Glass is the most personal part of creating stained glass. I love choosing different colors and types of glass.
Glue- Used to stick glass pieces to glass slate.
Flux- used in between glass pieces to make a solid line between glass.(may more may not want to use depending on what you want to make.)
Furnace: The heater you place your stained glass in to finish the piece

My experience and knowledge.
When I created my stained glass( in c&c) I was under the advisory of Lyn, who along with her friend, creates stain glass for a hobby. We were creating simple letters to spell out a name( find out who and take picture explain pic). This is/would be a great way for a beginner at stain glass making. You may want to start out with a simple flower or piece that doesn’t have very many small glass pieces, because it is easier( in my opinion ) to make bigger cuts. Shapes like squares/rectangles, rhombuses, triangles are all easy shapes to make. Although at first you may start out simple you may just become the next Christopher Whall if you enjoy your work and try hard to get better. Stained glass is such a great form of art because it allows you to express and be creative in your making. At least thats what I think. I enjoyed mixing colors and finding the right pieces. It reminds me of when I was 7, I used to search for shells in the beach looking  for hours in search of the right shell, and the whole time having a great time.  I really hope to do more stained glass making in the future and I hope whoever is reading this gives it a shot.


Safety
Although creating stained glass goes is a fun and entertaining form of art, you must also take in mind many of the items you use could hurt you. For example, while digging through your box/stash of glass pieces it is very easy to accidentally cut yourself (because most glass shards are not perfect circles).  This is why Lyn advised us to go slow and not rush while searching. Another precaution you should follow is, always wash your hands after creating stained glass. You do this because, after searching and cutting glass tiny tiny shards of sharp glass gathers on your hands. You may not see them but they're there. Once you're done with stain glass if you're anything like me, you continue on with life. In life you touch your eyes,(most people touch their face 180-300 times in an hour) thats why you must get the shards off so you don’t cause damage to them.

What can you make?
Now that you know all about the basics of creating stained glass(and the safety :D), there comes the question what do I make? There are endless ideas. But since you are new to stained glass you’ll want to start simple. Here is a list of Ideas and concepts you may want to use based off my experience. But first and foremost it is important to be creative and be safe.

A hobby
A sport
Animals/life

Johann Pachelbel



Johann Pachelbel
                 The precise date of birth of Johann Pachelbel is unknown. What we do know is that he was baptized on September 1, 1653. Johann Pachelbel was not only a great German composer but also a teacher and organist. Pachelbel taught Johann Christoph Bach, Johann Sebastian Bach’s older brother.  Pachelbel was also the godfather of Johanna Juditha Bach. Pachelbel was a really good friend of the Bach family. His music was highly influenced by many southern baroque composers. Pachelbel’s famous compositions are the ‘Canon in D,’ the ‘Toccata,’ and the ‘Chaconne in F.’
                    
                 Pachelbel was born into a ‘middle-class’ family. His father, Johann Pachelbel, was an wine dealer. They both lived with Mr. Pachelbel’s second wife. Johann Pachelbel supposedly wrote the ‘Canon in D’ for Johann Christoph Bach’s wedding. I’m currently learning the canon and I think that it is really fun.     During Pachelbel’s last years he stayed in Nuremberg, where he made and published some music. Johann Pachelbel died when he was 52 on March 3, 1706.

Pressure and Expectations

      Pressure and Expectations

      I think the first time that I felt pressure or expectations were when I was in 5th grade while doing the 'explorer project.' This was my first big project, and I was still trying to figure out how to manage my time and work around soccer, basketball, etc. In the middle of this project, my parents had conveniently scheduled a vacation to Mexico. While I was in Mexico, I just sort of ignored my project. The due date loomed nearer and nearer, and I still hadn't done very much of the project. After getting back from Mexico and missing a week of school, I was in a pit. There was no way I was going to finish in time, so the day the project was due, I asked my teacher for an extension. She said no, that I had plenty of time to do the project, and that it was my responsibility to manage my time better next time. I turned my project in a couple days late, and got a C+. I still passed, but I was really disappointed with my grade. I came home crying, and very sad.
      Looking back on this project, I think this is the first time I had realized that I had expectations for myself. I had always done everything well, and this is the first time that I had done badly on a project. This was the first time that I was disappointed in myself.
     I think that we can all relate to this feeling of letting one's self down, or feeling that we have let someone else down. In middle school especially, we start to feel pressure to do well from ourselves, teachers, parents, and even our own classmates and peers. We feel like we need to do well to impress someone, or to maintain a reputation. We feel like others are expecting us to ace a test, or be the star of the soccer team. Whether it's sports or school, we all have expectations to live up to, and feel pressure from others and ourselves, and we have to learn how to manage these expectations and pressure.
      I have learned that when I do feel pressure, I haven't managed my time well. I have a lot of activities afterschool. I do lots of sports, and don't have much free time from getting done with basketball practice and then zipping off to soccer for 2 hours. When I do feel pressure, it's usually from me. I am very hard on myself, and push myself to do well. If /when I feel pressure to do well from other people, it's usually from my parents, especially my dad. My dad wants me to do well, and to have lots of options for when I'm older. He and I are a lot alike, in terms of pushing ourselves and always wanting to do better.
Lolo Jones, a great athlete who didn't do well in a race and received lots of criticism for not doing well.

      Sometimes it's hard to balance the expectations of your parents and your own expectations. I think this is hard for me because my dad pushes me hard to do well. He always wants me to do better, and push myself harder, but sometimes that's too much, and I have to stand up to myself and say that I'm doing well and trying hard.
     Along with pressure come expectations, and pressure can come from high or unreasonable expectations. We experience pressure from ourselves, parents, and peers. Pressure is a normal thing to feel, but there is a point that we need to realize that sometimes we are pushing someone else too far, or have unreasonably high expectations. Pressure can be a good thing, but pressure can make us realize how hard we are willing to work, and how far we will go to live up to the expectations of others.

Niépce
Daguerre
 In 1827, the son of a rich lawyer and one of the many families who had eluded the french revolution created something amazing. An invention that would change the world forever, only to have his glory stolen by a young painter, eager to perfect the works of Nicephore Niépce. In 1829  Niépce shared his secret with Louis Daguerre and the two set off to make world changing discoveries. Meanwhile in England another scientist was working on a creation of his own. William Henry Fox Talbot was trying to make a machine that develop automatic sketches. The creations of these three scientists were crucial in the discovery of negative prints and the entire history of permanent photographic images.
        Nicephore Niépce had been
working for years on the design of a more efficient way to produce permanent photographs. Lithography had risen in popularity in the past decade in his home in france. Niépce noticed how difficult it was to trace pictures and to get the proper tools to create a lasting image. He spent the next years of his life studying ways to create these images automatically. He tried everything . His first idea was to coat pewter (a type of metal) with chemicals and substances that reacted to light. Later incorporating the use of a camera to reflect images, this method called Heliography (sun drawings) created something called superimposed engravings.  Later Niépce experimented with a type of light sensitive asphalt and his camera to create an engraving of the view from his workroom on a piece of glass. This being the first fixed photograph from nature.

A Daguerreotype

Meanwhile Louis Daguerre, a young painter and physicist living near Paris, was working on a similar invention. Daguerre was trying to obtain a method of transferring photographs onto pieces of chemical coated metal and glass. His experiments were very similar to those of Niépce, but none of Daguerre’s had succeeded. In 1829 Niépce shared the details of his secret method with Daguerre and the two joined forces to perfect photography. They worked on the method of Heliography, that  Niépce had invented in 1827, working primarily on shortening the time needed for the photographs to develop and ways to create multiple copies of a single image. Their work continued without prevail until Niépce passed in 1833, leaving behind a life of hard work and debt. Daguerre continued to work on the projects he had began with his late friend. Four years after the passing of his partner, Daguerre produced a method that accomplished all that he had been working on. The daguerreotype had five steps using a silver plate, iodine vapor ( the light sensitive element passed down from the works of Niépce) and the projection of images onto the golden iodized surface. The process could be accomplished in less time than the Heliocentric method and the steps were much easier. The daguerreotype process rose in popularity and Daguerre was honored with great distinction as the inventor of the most efficient process of creating photos, in that time.

As Daguerre and his invention ruled the world, yet another young scientist was getting his career underway with an incredible invention that would introduce the next era of photography. A graduate of Cambridge university, William Henry Fox Talbot was a 35 year old English scholar. With a good education and strong background, many expected Talbot to continue permanently on his work as a mathematician with several news papers. Instead Talbot went on to create the first negative print on paper. Talbot finished his model in 1835 but took a few years to perfect the method. Although this invention was one of the most advanced of it’s time, the older model created by Daguerre and Niépce created higher quality images, but Talbot’s, Calotype method could produce multiple images from one negative print. Talbot was the first of these inventors to get a patent on his method and publish several of his prints in 1844. This collection of published photographs titled ‘The Pencil of Nature”, was shared around the world and sparked the continued popularity of photography.
